So you may assume the snail is dead because it has not moving or show up for some days. Please note, only live snails can create a trapdoor in their shell so it shows the snail is alive. How to gently wake up your snail from hibernation:\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003e1. Soak in warm water (most effective). Use room-temperature or slightly warmer distilled or dechlorinated water. Place your snail shell-side up in a shallow dish (just enough to touch the opening — not submerge them). Let it soak for about 10–15 minutes. In most cases snails will start to extend their tentacles and slowly begin to move.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003e2. Gently mist your snail with warm water using a spray bottle (do not use hot water!). This simulates rain and speeds up activity.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003ePlease be patient and quiet, leave your snail in a humid, warm enclosure with a bit of fresh food.
