Excellent bioactive clean-up crew for your terrariums and vivariums! Effectively break down waste, mold, and decaying organic matter. Hardier and more adaptable than many tropical species. They can naturally show slight color variations and are of mixed ages, sizes, and genders.
Substrate: Moist soil/coco coir mixed with plenty of leaf litter and decaying wood.
Moisture Gradient: Keep one side damp/mossy and the other side dry.
Ventilation: Moderate. They prefer slightly more airflow than tropical species.
Base Diet: Leaf litter (oak/maple) and rotting wood must be available 24/7.
Calcium: Essential for their shells. Provide cuttlebone or eggshell powder.
Supplemental Food: Protein flakes (fish food), organic veggies (carrots, squash).

Safe Shipping Window: Between 50°F and 85°F (10°C – 29°C). When local daytime highs are within this range, orders are safely shipped in our standard secure packaging.
