The Calathea Zebrina (Goeppertia zebrina) is a tropical perennial native to Brazil, prized for its large, velvety ovate leaves (12–15 inches long) featuring striking light green and dark emerald zebra-like stripes. Its pale-green undersides highlight the upper pattern. Like other prayer plants, its leaves fold up at night and lower during the day to capture light.
