You will receive a plant very similar to the one pictured.
Chlorophytum comosum 'Bonnie' is a compact, eye-catching houseplant known for its distinct curly foliage and resilient nature. Unlike traditional varieties with straight leaves, 'Bonnie' features striking, twisting green blades with a bold white stripe down the center. This fast-growing plant naturally purifies indoor air by filtering out common toxins. As it matures, it sends out cascading runners with tiny white flowers and numerous curly miniature plantlets.
Spider Plant 'Bonnie' Care Guide:
Hardiness zone (USDA zone): 9-11.
Light: Thrives in bright, indirect sunlight. Tolerates partial shade, but direct hot sun will scorch the leaves, while deep shade can fade its white variegation.
Watering: Water moderately once the top one to two inches of soil feels dry. It stores water in thick roots and is highly prone to root rot if left in standing water.
Temperature: Prefers standard indoor temperatures between 59°F and 75°F. Keep away from cold winter drafts and sudden temperature drops.
Humidity: Adapts well to average indoor humidity. Benefits from occasional misting during hot summer days or dry winter heating seasons.
Soil: Requires a light, fertile, and well-draining commercial potting mix. Adding a handful of perlite helps maintain the ideal soil structure.
Fertilizer: Feed every 2 to 3 weeks during the active spring and summer growing season using a balanced, water-soluble houseplant fertilizer diluted to half strength. Reduce feeding or stop entirely in winter.
