Starter pack: 10/25 ct. healthy, mixed-size isopods.

Excellent bioactive clean-up crew for temperate terrariums, efficiently breaking down waste, mold, and decaying organic matter. They feature shiny dark shells with pale markings, are exceptionally hardy, and breed actively. They can naturally show slight color variations and are of mixed ages, sizes, and genders. 

Care & Setup:
Substrate: Moist soil/coco coir with leaf litter, moss, and decaying wood.
Moisture Gradient: Keep 70-80% of the enclosure moist/mossy with a small dry corner, as they require higher humidity than Armadillidium species.
Ventilation: Moderate. They prefer slightly more airflow than tropical species.

Diet & Feeding:
Base Diet: Leaf litter (oak/maple) and rotting wood must be available 24/7.
Calcium: Essential for their shells. Provide cuttlebone or eggshell powder.
Supplemental Food: Protein flakes (fish food), organic veggies (carrots, squash).

Weather Policy & Shipping Terms:
We ship on Mondays and Tuesdays. The shipping of live isopods is strictly dependent on the weather conditions along the entire transit route (including our location, transit hubs, and your delivery zip code).
If your isopodes arrive dead please report within 2 hours time frame upon delivery as we do not accept ANY claims made later than that. Also no coverage for losses due to improper care/handling or unsuitable environment.
Please include clear photo of the isopods, its original packaging and the shipping label. Please also include your order number.
If we approve your claim, you can choose either refund or replacement at no extra cost (shipping cost not included).

Safe Shipping Window: Between 50°F and 85°F (10°C – 29°C). When local daytime highs are within this range, orders are safely shipped in our standard secure packaging.
Shipping at Buyer's Full Risk: If your local temperature is below 50°F (10°C) or above 85°F (29°C). By choosing to ship during extreme weather, you accept ALL risks of insect loss due to freezing or overheating. No refunds, credits, or replacements will be issued for weather-related losses.
Weather Hold Option: If your local weather is currently unsafe, we highly recommend requesting a weather hold. We will care for your isopods free of charge until temperatures stabilize. Please message us before purchasing to coordinate the safest shipping date.
