Philodendron 'Sun Red' is an amazing plant that changes color like a chameleon! Its new leaves open up in a shiny, fiery-red color. Then they slowly turn copper-bronze, and finally become dark green. This plant grows as a neat, bushy rosette. It does not grow into a long, messy vine and saves a lot of space.

Hardiness zone (USDA zone): 10-11.
Light: Bright indirect light. Low light causes new leaves to lose their fiery red color and turn dull green.
Watering: Moderate. Water after the top 1/3 or half of the soil dries out. Extremely sensitive to overwatering.
Temperature: Warm-loving: 65–80°F. Protect from cold drafts and temperatures below 58°F.
Humidity: Average to elevated (40–60%). Adapts well to average household humidity but loves clean leaves.
Soil: Ultra-chunky, chunky aroid mix (coco coir, perlite, orchid bark, sphagnum moss, and charcoal).
Support: Grows cascading or climbing a moss pole. Vertical support stimulates larger leaf growth.
Toxicity: Toxic! Contains calcium oxalate crystals. Causes severe oral irritation if chewed by pets or children.
