Scindapsus pictus Care Guide:
Hardiness zone (USDA zone): 10-12.
Light: Bright indirect light. Tolerates partial shade, but low light may cause the silver variegation to fade. Protect from direct sun.
Watering: Moderate. Water when the top 50% of the soil is dry. Leaves curl when thirsty and turn yellow from overwatering.
Temperature: Optimal growth range is 65°F–85°F. Cannot tolerate drops below 60°F. Protect from cold drafts and AC vents.
Humidity: Moderate. Adapts well to average household air, but appreciates occasional misting or higher humidity.
Soil: Loose, aerated, and well-draining. A peat-based organic mix with added perlite and orchid bark is ideal.
Toxicity: Toxic. Contains calcium oxalate crystals. Keep away from pets and children.
